About Us

Ali Faraj began his entrepreneurial career in 1986 when he moved to California to buy and operate a grocery business.

After selling the store in California, Ali moved back east and landed in Detroit, Michigan.

Ali then moved to Cleveland in 1988 and began selling closeouts from the trunk of his car. Business began to take off and he expanded to a dedicated garage space at his home.

Now operating from a 6,000 square foot warehouse, growth continued rapidly. This was accomplished through Ali’s continued development of great relationships within the community and a good, solid business practice.

Seaway expanded to a 40,000 square foot warehouse to enable more strategic growth and space for a larger inventory and product offering. Seaway continued to prosper and began offering truck deliveries along with hiring a new warehouse staff of 12 employees.

With a strong foundation invested in the community along with Ali’s strong faith and commitment, Seaway’s current building was purchased from Riser Foods (dba Giant Eagle) and his business continued to grow!
